Here at Friendship Place, we have multiple jobs that can be filled by volunteers. With a small staff base, volunteers are needed and encouraged to help with the programs that we serve the community of Georgetown. Our longest running program, Georgetown Eats, a meal program where we serve meals Monday through Friday at 11am. Another volunteer opportunity would be to help with our job training program. We look for volunteers to help mentor our members of Georgetown Works. If you would like to volunteer at Friendship Place, please call 843-545-1115. We would love to get you plugged in!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Help with Job Training:
Here at Friendship Place, we have served the community for over 20 years with job training. Our most recent collaboration, the Georgetown County Career Connections (GC3), we partner with other non profits to conduct an academic boot camp that provides the soft skills needed to get a job or get a better job. Volunteers are needed to be a mentor, guest speaker, and to monitor other activities that pertain to the job training program we have called Georgetown Works.
Help Serve During Lunch:

From 10:30 – 12:30, our volunteers help set up, serve and clean up. Food Handler Certification is required. If you are interested, please call us and we will work you in.
