As the new Executive Director of Friendship Place, Marie Livingston is poised to lead the organization toward even greater success in fulfilling its mission to address the needs of the Georgetown community and empower individuals to overcome poverty.
The Georgetown, SC native brings over 15 years of experience in Human Resources and Risk Management across the private, nonprofit, and municipal government sectors. Her extensive background includes 10 years of providing Human Resources Consulting Services and three years as the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of logistics and transportation company Heritage Logistics, LLP. She is married to Quentin Livingston, and together they have four children Bryson, Kaitlyn, Cameron, and Quentin. Her family-oriented foundation aligns seamlessly with Friendship Place’s mission to foster a sense of community and support for individuals facing challenges in Georgetown.
A Heart for Her Community
Active in the local Georgetown communities, Livingston serves as a nonprofit Relevance Committee Chairperson, volunteers with the Low Country Veterans Group, facilitates a small women’s group, and is a graduate of Leadership of Georgetown County. She also serves as Senior Fellow of the Waccamaw Chapter of the American Leadership Forum Class VI is Secretary for the Rotary Club of Georgetown. Livingston was previously the co-chair of the LiveWell Healthy Foods Work Group with Tidelands Health, showcasing her dedication to community engagement and well-being.
